HI, I'M KATE - FOUNDER OF MOTHERHUB AND LOVER OF ALL THINGS PREGNANCY AND BIRTH. I'M A DAUGHTER, SISTER, FIANCEE AND FRIEND, BUT MY FAVOURITE TITLE OF ALL... MUMMY! I had my baby girl, Maeve, in 2021 and have found myself on an ever changing personal growth journey ever since. I want to do and be better for maeve and I am finally aligning with my true self. i feel that becoming a mum is such an incredible transformation and until i was experiencing it, i never truly understood the saying "when a baby is born, a mum is also born", but wow, now i see how true that is! becoming a mum has seen me learn a lot about who i am and what i want, but also unlearn a lot.

​BEFORE I WAS PREGNANT I WAS OBSESSED WITH ALL THINGS BABY AND FASCINATED BY THE WAY OUR BODIES WORK, GROWING A MIRACLE INSIDE OF US - I MEAN IT'S BASICALLY MAGIC, RIGHT? but actually being pregnant blew my mind, my body was growing another little tiny body, and suddenly there was something more meaningful to my life, and something that mattered above all else. This natural interest in pregnancy, birth and babies grew and I REALISED HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS FOR WOMEN TO BE INFORMED of ALL OF THEIR OPTIONS, rights and choices DURING PREGNANCY, BIRTH and into motherhood.

 

Once maeve was born, i realised all the groups that exist are so focused on the baby and there isn't anything that nurtures the mum. I was shocked at how well i thought i had prepared for this chapter of me life, but how out of control i felt at times. and so, after doing hypnobirthing for 10 months whilst searching for the perfect venue, motherhub was finally born (my second baby!)​

MY FAMILY ALL HAVE A PASSION FOR HOLISTIC THERAPIES AND THE POWERS THEY CAN HOLD. REIKI, CRYSTALS, MASSAGE, MEDITATION, YOU NAME IT, I'M ALL FOR IT! I'M A BIG FAN OF SELF CARE AND BELIEVE YOU CAN'T POUR FROM AN EMPTY GLASS - ESPECIALLY WHEN you're going through a transformational stage of life.

I am a true perfectionist and love to know the ins and outs of everything. if i don't know, i will do my very best to get to know.
